New from iRiver comes this cheap and cheeky answer for the growing numbers of anti-iPodites. Flash-based, cheap as chips and very funky to boot, there's not much about the T60 not to like.

Available in 1GB, 2GB and 4GB flavours, the T60 runs from a single AAA battery, offering around 19 hours play time off one charge (we say charge here because we naturally assume you'll be using rechargeable rather than throwaway batteries, right? RIGHT!). There's a 65,000-colour LCD screen with navigation via the simple and now ubiquitous jog dial.

Format-wise the T60 supports ASF and ultra high-quality OGG Q10 files alongside the more common MP3 and WMA with uploading via USB 2.0 so it's nice and nippy. There's also an FM radio with recording capability, voice recorder and alarm.

It has to be said iRiver's latest is a pleasingly quirky bit of kit that incorporates design elements from the likes of Sony and Sansa without losing its own identity. And with prices ranging from £59 to £99 depending on your capacity of choice, we think you may be as intrigued as we are.
