RBH Sound is a rapidly growing, ultra-high-performance speaker manufacturer, celebrating their 30-year anniversary with the release of their most ambitious speaker to date, the T-30LSE. The T-30LSE is a limited edition flagship model with only 100 pairs being made. At $15,000, the T-30LSEs are a serious investment, but upon closer scrutiny, they are quite reasonably priced when compared to the physically large flagship models of some other high-end loudspeaker brands. When I look at the T-30LSE, it brings to mind Revel’s new Salons, Wilson’s MAXX and B&W’s 802d loudspeakers, all of which come with a far larger price tag.

The high definition format war seems to be swinging in favor towards the Blu-ray camp, and you won’t see Toshiba taking this too kindly. After all, they want to uphold their own HD DVD format and have fired a salvo in return by offering a slew of new movie titles that boast Internet connectivity support which can be accessed via second generation HD DVD players. The first of such titles would be the animated Japanese film, Freedom, which was released last week. Don’t get too excited though, as Freedom just allows you to download an additional movie trailer, a change of menu styles, and different subtitles, where the networked HD DVD player will obtain all these information from an online content server.

Apple may have sold as many as 500,000 iPhones over the launch weekend, according to Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster. Munster had projected sales of 200,000, an estimate that was beaten according to J.P. Morgan analyst Bill Shope, who estimated sales of 312,000 units. While Apple has yet to release any exact sales figures for the new device, the launch is already being viewed as a success by industry pundits. “This is a very successfully handled launch,” Munster said in an interview with Bloomberg. “The real sign of success would be what kind of legs this product has in 2008 and 2009. In 2009, we estimate a third of Apple’s sales will be from iPhone. This is a huge product.”
Spokespeople for AT&T have declined to confirm numbers, but have been enthusiastic about the launch. Mark Siegel, AT&T spokesperson, claimed “things have just gone extraordinarily well.” The cellular provider said that most of its 1,800 stores sold out of iPhone stock in 24 hours. Checks on iPhone availability from Apple’s retail web site show that more than a third of Apple stores around the country are listed as “Sold Out” of the device. In addition, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is also bullish on the device, claiming “I was going to only use the iPhone as a test phone at first, but I’m ready now to make it my primary number.” Wozniak, who got in line at 4 a.m. on June 29 to buy the phone, continued, “I was still a bit negative after a couple of test calls, but then I tried the browser and was shocked at how wonderful it was to have real Web pages.”

Memup will soon become the latest company to enter the PMP market in 2007. With the appearance of many portable video players at the current time, what is it about this debutante that merits recognition? Let’s take a look.
The Orizon will feature a LCD screen which is significantly larger than most, extending 4.3-inches with 480 x 272 pixels and 16 million colors. The hard disk stores 30GB and can be expanded through external SD and MMC cards. Format support is adequate for most: DivX, XviD, WMV, and MJPEG for video, MP3 and WMA for audio, and JPEG, GIF, and BMP for images. The PMP also has an FM Radio, microphone, inputs/outputs for audio and video, but with a limit of four hours of video playback you may want to reconsider the $378 cost.
