The VRP-1000 has a 10″ forward firing driver with 8.2″ piston diameter. Finished in black ash, it features a stylish hourglass front grille and high gloss black accent. The flexible, high-quality crossover system with adjustable low-pass filter plus phase adjustability contributes to the superb performance. The sub is video shielded for placement flexibility.
Monolithic Power Amplifier
To power the remarkable VRP-1000, Velodyne uses a highly efficient 115 watts RMS, 170 watts peak bipolar-MOS technology amplifier capable of producing significant dynamic power from its reserve headroom. The amp incorporates two specialized protection circuits to insure long-term durability. As compared to conventional IC amp designs, the VRP series amplifiers are more reliable, have more punch, and produce more power to accurately reproduce the most difficult bass information.
Superior Quality Driver
The Velodyne uses a driver with a massive magnet and copper-wound voice coil matched precisely to its MOS power amplifier in order to maximize the bass response. The high power-handling capability and extended excursion allows the subwoofer to play loud and go low with extraordinary results.
