The TEAC UX-1Pi will take it all! It plays DVDs, Audio DVDs, Cds, SACDs, VCDs and rewritable media. TEAC insists on the fact that what we have here is quality mechanics. The Player itself isn't what we call «hanging» but works with ceramic bearings for smoother and more precise sound reproduction. What's more is the loading draw locks itself up in its own isolated casing so as to protect the player bloc from vibrations and accoustic pressure.
The TEAC UX-1Pi works on a 14-bit DAC, LSI ABT1018 scaler, HDMI v1.3 connector, 1080p upscaling, i.LINK FireWire, component / S-Video outputs, surround sound pre-outs, XLR front outputs, and optical / coaxial digital audio.
Available in June in Japan at about 1,470,000 Yens (9,000€).
