Live shots of Venzero’s mini and SLICKR DAPs

Allan Ford July 15, 2007

16.venzero_3-1.jpgGenerationMP3’s got an exclusive sneak preview of Venzero’s Mini and SLICKR! Their report on the gadgets are written in French, which I would happily translate for you if I knew the language. From what I could see in the photos, the Mini does look rather tiny but it seems to be a little on the fat side when you check out its profile. The SLICKR reminds me a little bit of the iRiver Clix in terms of its dimensions and interface. GenMP3 reports that both products seem to be made out of good quality plastic. As of now, the Venzeros are available exclusively in Germany, though they may be hitting the rest of the European market sometime soon.

Editor: The mini is an MP3 player (MP3, WMA, AVI, JPEG) with a 1.8-inch screen with 262k colors, a mic and FM tuner. The SLICKR has a 2.83-inch screen capable of 16 million colors. This one’s a video player besides playing music (AVI, MP3, WMA, WAV, JPEG and TXT). It adds MusicMarker to its FM tuner for audio note-taking, letting you record clips you do not recognize so you can label it later when you syn it to your PC. The SLICKR is a thin player: 85.5 x 55 x 9.8mm, weighing only 75g.
