18 August 2007 – Anchor Bay has released some information on their new DVDO iScan VP50 Pro video processor, and it promises to be a very capable unit.
In addition to including HDMI 1.3 ports, the DVDO VP50 will also support the high-end audio formats, namely Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.
The setup and feature set of the Pro model have also earned it the illustrious THX certification that many products strive to attain.
Among some of the more notable features are 4 HDMI 1.3 inputs with one HDMI output, enhanced image processing, upscaling to 1080p via HDMI, a flexible aspect ratio control, and 12-bit Deep Color.
