Toshiba has just announced a recall for portable DVD power adapters. A voluntary recall affecting 142,000 AC adapters that were sold between January 2005 and April 2006.
The affected adapters are model number ADPV16 and were sold with the SD-P1600 portable DVD player. So far Toshiba has had just two reports of minor damage to the bottom of the DVD player. While this is a voluntary recall, Toshiba strongly recommends that you contact their Customer Solutions center and arrange for a replacement to be sent out.
