Exodus Audio Kepler Will Have You Looking to the Stars

Allan Ford October 23, 2007

Exodus Audio drew a lot of attention a few years back when they unveiled their line of DIY kits and finished speakers. The first group of speakers featured a few very famous drivers in the online world, most notably the Adire Audio Extremis and the CSS WR125S. Both of which utilize the patented XBL^2 motor technology. Now they’re working hard on new kits to push the boundaries of your typical speaker kit again.

Named after the famous German astronomer Johannes Kepler, the Kepler speaker kit features the proprietary EX-6.5 (which features the patented XBL^2 motor technology) and a tweeter that is similar to the revered Peerless HDS tweeter. It touts very smooth on and off-axis frequency response (+/- 1dB from the baffle step to 20kHz with good extension down to 30 Hz).

The Kepler is priced very affordably at $299 per speaker, which includes everything but the cabinet. The crossovers are pre-assembled on printed circuit boards and the final product will work well in standard cabinets from PartsExpress or Madisound ranging from 0.5-0.75 cubic feet. You can expect these guys to be available for purchase in 4-6 weeks.

Keep your eyes peeled for lots of new products from Exodus Audio. We’ll be bringing it all to you right here on AudioJunkies.
