The new A6-6T6 MTM (for mid-tweet-mid, otherwise known as a D’Appolito array) L/C/R speaker from Elemental Designs is compact, two-way stand-mounter. Its twin proprietary midrange drivers are an unusual 6.37” (162mm), and they are augmented by twin front-firing flared ports for bass response reaching down to 50Hz. High frequencies are crossed over to the 1.3” O-635.R silk dome tweeter via ED’s custom “audiophile grade” ER-6X.3 eD crossover network. Additional features are a fully shielded cabinet, a removable grill designed not to interfere with airflow from the ports, and a black painted finish. Availability is planned for mid November, with prices set at $155 each or $300 per pair, factory direct.
