M&K professional speaker systems now available for the home

Allan Ford March 11, 2008

MK Sound

MK Sound isn’t wasting anytime going after revenue sources now that they have just recently rebounded from closing their doors last year. The company has announced that they will be selling home theater speaker systems based upon their M Series professional audio systems, the MK Sound M5 and the MK Sound M7 with larger surround speakers (pictured above).

Active subwoofers are used for the low-end and silk dome neodymium tweeters cover the highs. The surrounds will be utilizing MK’s patented “Tripolar” design that is claimed to be a step up from the typical surround speaker design. Both speaker systems will be available in black or satin white finishes with the version based upon the M5 selling for $3,000 and the larger M7 based system selling for $3,500.

Words from MK:

Precision Loudspeakers for a High Definition World
• Exclusive Phase Focused Crossover
• Metal mesh front grille
• Voice-matched satellites and rear speaker
• Proprietary MK SOUND Tripole surround technology
