Have you ever mistaken a TV set with a TV show? If not till date, then now is the time to conduct an in-depth research on the name to decide whether it is a name of a TV show or television. The leading LCD TV manufacturer had gone commercial before actually launching its new product calling Scarlet as a new TV series. TV commercials, online trailers ran throughout, without disclosing the actual company’s name.

On the launch day, it mentioned that there is a screening of a new TV series entitled Scarlet. Wow! Reading that statement, everyone would think it’s a promotion of a new movie or TV show. The excitement soon was drooling down to a serious announcement of product.

Scarlet is a red back panel TV from LG! Termed as LG60, the company’s flagship LCD TV – Scarlet had been introduced at 2008 CES.

The Scarlet series of TV is 1.7 inches (45mm) thick, boasting to be one of the slimmest LCD TVs. Housed in a red-hued back panel, the LCD TV includes color-changing LED light power aperture with invisible speaker, TruMotion 100Hz reducing blur, an Intelligent Sensor for automatic picture adjustments, expert Mode and A/V Hot Key for refined tuning. The stylish Scarlet HDTV LCD line-up will be available in various display sizes ranges from 32- to 52-inches.

A 47-inch Scarlet TV is currently available in the UK, which features a full high-definition (1,920 pixel by 1,080 pixel) screen and 100Hz fast scanning. LG’s Scarlet HDTV LCD is slated to hit the U.S market under the LG60 brand name, whereas in Europe under the LG6000 name.

Way to go PR plan, it is a superb campaign to grab attention of each business sector as well as masses.
