Peerless Expands SmartMount 600 Series

Allan Ford June 29, 2007

29.peerlesssf650-product.jpgPeerless Industries has introduced a new addition to its SmartMount 600 Series called the SF650 Universal Flat Wall Mount. The SF650 targets 32in. to 50in. screens to make installation of the most popular screen sizes easier and more efficient. Its clean, low-profile design makes it ideal for mounting screens into hallways, lobbies, stadium concourses, or anywhere a simple, flat installation is desired.

The new Universal Flat Wall Mount (SF650) narrows in on 32in. to 50in. screens, the most prevalent sizes to be wall-mounted, to make installation more efficient and to keep costs down. The SF650 includes universal adapter brackets that measure 1.68in. deep, ideally offset to provide space for heat dissipation and electrical cords to easily plug into the back of the flatpanel screen. The wall plate features large cut-outs to allow ample room for cord management and electrical outlet boxes, including outlet covers, to be located neatly within the wall plate. Its small wall plate size also allows the installer to simply run cables to outlets either above or below the wall plate and still stay hidden behind the screen.

The Universal Flat Wall Mount’s UL-listed design holds up to 175lbs. and comes with hardware that enables mounting to wood stud, concrete, or cinder-block walls right out of the box. And mounting to metal stud walls only requires four metal stud togglers—no need for extra backing plates, wood blocking or additional installation steps.

The new Universal Flat Wall Mount (SF650) will be shown for the first time at InfoComm (June 19-21, 2007) in Peerless booth number 2829, Anaheim, Calif.
