Fatman announces the mother of all valve amps delivering 200 watts per channel

Allan Ford August 23, 2007

24.fatman.jpg24 August 2007 – The iTube Controlroom is the Mothership system’s brains: a Class A vacuum tube preamplifier, this unit boosts the source signals to a level suitable for its brothers-in-valves, the Engineroom twins. Equipped with six premium-quality valves, and housing exceptional components, the Controlroom’s firm chassis is meticulously assembled. The unit is also, naturally, a visual as well as sonic match for its power siblings. Working in harmony with the preamplifier, the two iTube Enginerooms take the musical signal to a whole new level.

Each monoblock power amplifier unloads a whopping 200 watts, meaning the Mothership – regardless of driving demands – fears no speakers. The beautifully crafted Engineroom units each draw on eighteen perfectly matched, lovingly assembled vacuum tubes to achieve a shared goal of audio excellence.

The Fatman Mothership will be available in the UK and Europe from September 2007 and will have an approximate suggested retail price (inc. VAT) of £5000.
