Marantz America announced yesterday that they have begun shipping their Marantz SR8002 AV receiver. On top of traditional Marantz aesthetics, the SR8002 will also feature some impressive hardware.
This 7.1 channel receiver will have support for the latest surround sound formats, including Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS HD Master Audio.
For ease of use, Marantz has also included 4 HDMI 1.3a inputs and 2 HDMI outputs with Audyssey Laboratories’ MultiEQ room correction technology.
Of course Marantz would be remiss not to include a whole range of other standard features like HD radio, terrestrial radio, upconversion of audio signals through HDMI, and multi-room signal distribution.
The Marantz SR8002 is shipping now for $2,100.
